In the Dimming

light-bulb-light-old

Leave me bare in dimming incandescence

to wander my cobwebbed corridors–

the silken threads collected over years

resemble moth-eaten cloth

*

Leave me bare in dimming incandescence

to exhume dead truths and living lies–

the brown boxes collected over years

resemble the unburied

*

Leave me bare in dimming incandescence

to sort out corpses slumped in corners–

a funeral pyre I will build

and you all will burn silent

in the dimming incandescent light
